AUSTRALIA BREATHES A SIGH OF RELIEF

The Rev Fred Nile MLC, Leader of the Christian Democratic Party, has said the Australian people have breathed a sigh of relief when the ‘Spill Motion’ against the Prime Minister Tony Abbott was overwhelmingly defeated by 61 to 39 votes.

“It is ironic that some of the MPs who supported the ‘Spill Motion’ were conservatives who did not support Mr Malcolm Turnbull.  However, their actions could have led to the election of Mr Turnbull as Prime Minister!

“Our Christian Democratic Party is opposed to Mr Turnbull’s policies which are in favour of a Republic and same sex homosexual “marriage” etc.  We therefore cannot support him as a future Prime Minister.

“We give our full support to Prime Minister Tony Abbott because of his strong support for traditional family values” said Rev Hon Fred Nile MLC, Leader of the Christian Democratic Party.                                                End.
